Follow your roots!
A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots. Marcus Garvey
It is truly important for me to follow my roots. Being half Norwegian always made me feel different. I am not German neither am I Norwegian and as I am part of an even bigger international family I can’t really tell you what I really am :D! But I love it. I love feeling at home in a lot of places. What most people don’t get is that I am always going back to the same places. Well this is for the one reason that I can stay with my family but also for the other reason that I really like coming home. As I told you home for me isn’t only in one place!
So I am trying to look deep in to my roots. If they are Norwegian, German or American I just love getting to know everything about the culture where I come from.
When I was in the US I was so lucky to see one beautiful little village called Solvang. It is definitely typical american but also based on the danish culture. I love places like that! It was really sweet to go there and see how the Americans see the Danish culture. This is also a big part why I absolutely love Las Vegas it is a city full of dreams and other countries. So international and wonderful showing a lot of countries best features. For example I never have been to venetia but the Venetian in Las Vegas is one of my favorite casinos :D.
